| | OPENING OF GARY FISHER GALLERY @ 1506 14TH ST NW, WASHINGTON, DC SHOWCASES DC-AREA CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS
Washington, DC - Gary Fisher’s opening of the art gallery—GARY FISHER GALLERY @ 1506 14TH ST, is a joint project of Gary Fisher Studios and Hounshell Real Estate. “I am pleased to showcase the diverse and alluring work of DC-based painters in this beautiful space in the midst of an active city life on 14th Street. Across from The Studio Theatre and in close proximity to a number of other art galleries and an abundance of eclectic restaurants, this hip, urban location provides a great opportunity to see paintings by established and emerging artists,” Fisher said.
The first exhibit, ‘Surroundings,’ opens February 15, 2010 and features the work of Louis Bowers, Jill Finsen, Gary Fisher, Judith Judy, Roberta Gottesman, Nelson Milder, Nancy Varipapa, and Liz Wallen. The artists’ works can be found exhibited throughout Europe, Florida and the Northeast.
An Opening Reception for the artists will be held Saturday March 13, 2010 from 6–8:30 PM at the Gallery. The seven artists have varying approaches to the landscape and still life, ranging from representational to the abstract, and will be on hand to discuss the exhibited work.
